Misty was the most prolific defender and complimentary partner, to Kerri Walsh-Jennings, in the world throughout three straight Olympiads beginning with her first gold medal in 2004. Her camps and clinics reflect the personality and attitude that it took to be part of the #1 team in the world for 10 straight years. Misty’s “Dream in Gold” Clinic Series represents the highest quality in youth sports education in the professional sports world. Acting as a mentor to the young athletes, Misty provides hands-on instruction, quality direction of the experience, and her ability to connect with youth through the Dream in Gold clinics.
Misty doesn’t just talk volleyball. She teaches the young athletes about self-respect, setting goals, and going after a dream. Misty leads these young people towards believing in their abilities to succeed through the values of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
This, the Vail clinic, will be the only appearance by Misty in the Rocky Mountain Region this year. The clinic itself precedes the junior’s competition at the largest beach doubles volleyball tournament in Colorado, the King of the Mountain Open, which draws 650 teams to the unique location of Vail, Colorado. And, which is one of the oldest tournaments in North America; having graced the sand and grass courts located in Vail for 43 consecutive years.
