Possible Crime Pattern Identified in Monument Valley Park‏

The Colorado Springs Police Department has identified a possible crime pattern occurring in Monument Valley Park.


In March 2015 at approximately 6:30PM, an adult female was on foot in the north section of Monument Valley Park when she was grabbed by a male who, when she turned to confront him, ran northbound.


In mid-May 2015 at approximately 7:00AM, an adult female was running in Monument Valley Park when she was grabbed from behind by a male; however, she broke free from his grasp. The suspect fled northbound on foot. Shortly after this incident, a second adult female contacted CSPD and reported she had been walking in Monument Valley Park around the same time and had been approached by a male who was masturbating.


The suspect described in all three incidents is a white male, mid-20s to mid-30s, 5-06 to 6-00 tall, with a thin build. Additionally, one victim described the male as having a large and pointy nose.


The Colorado Springs Police Department Domestic Violence and Adult Sexual Assault Unit is actively investigating these incidents.
