Manitou Has FREE Parking and Shuttle!‏

Manitou Springs FREE Summer Shuttle and Parking Lot

The City of Manitou Springs is continuing operation of the FREE Summer Shuttles and FREE Parking Lot, paid for courtesy the City’s paid parking program.
The parking lot, which holds approximately 100 vehicles and can accommodate buses and RVs, is located BEHIND the Tajine Alami Restaurant at 10 Old Man’s Trail (see map below). Parking in front of the property is for restaurant customers only; noncustomers may be towed for parking in front of the restaurant. Free parking is available from 6am to 3am, seven days a week. Overnight parking, camping, or long-term parking is not allowed. The free parking lot will be available through September 30, 2015, to provide parking for visitors, hikers, and downtown employees and serves the free Summer Shuttles.
This is the third year of FREE shuttle operation. The previous two years were largely funded by a federal grant, with matching funds from parking revenues. In 2014, shuttle service was expanded to include a second route connecting Manitou Springs’ east end hotel district with the Downtown. 2015 operation is funded almost entirely from paid parking revenues and includes both the Incline and Manitou Avenue Routes from last year. The shuttles are operated by Mountain Metropolitan Transit and run from May 17 through September 12 as follows:
Incline/Cog Shuttle – Route 33
 The shuttle runs from the free parking lot up Ruxton Avenue to near the Cog Depot.  One bus operates from 6:00am-8:15pm every day with 20 minute headways (travel time).  A second bus operates from 10:00am-8:15 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.  When both Incline/COG Shuttle buses are running on weekends, they are staggered so riders can expect only a 10 minute wait between shuttles.
Manitou Avenue Shuttle – Route 333
 One bus operates daily with 20 minute frequency  Hours are 7:50am-10:05pm Sunday-Thursday; on Fridays and Saturdays (including the 4th of July) the bus will operate from 7:50am-12:05am.
 The route runs on Manitou Avenue
from the Ruxton roundabout, east,
looping around the Fields Park on El
Paso to Beckers Lane and back on
Manitou Avenue to Ruxton.
 This shuttle serves the east end
motels and businesses, the pool, the
Fields Park, and overlaps with the
Incline/Cog Shuttle through the
downtown.
A route map is available through Mountain Metropolitan Transit at www.mmtransit.com and on the Manitou Springs City website. More specific schedule information is available by using the My Next Bus? sign posted at each stop.
