If you enjoy being in the country, working with children and being outside, you might enjoy being part of the Colorado Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF) team.
CALF manages Lowell Ranch, a 133-acre working educational ranch located just south of Castle Rock. CALF’s mission is “Connecting People to Agriculture” through authentic educational programs, community projects and special events.
CALF invites former teachers and teachers at heart to help with our “Connecting Kids to Agriculture” educational programs. Programs range from Kindergarten through fourth grades and are held from April through May and early fall. Volunteers help provide program assistance in an outdoor learning environment. Our hands-on activities are designed to provide students with a much greater understanding of importance of agriculture in everyday life and where food comes from.
In addition, CALF offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from planting and caring for gardens, helping with special events and working with livestock.
If you are interested in becoming a CALF volunteer or more information on CALF, please call Brooke Fox or Kim Roth at 303-688-1026 or visit www.thecalf.org. CALF is located at 2330 I-25, three miles south of Castle Rock on the east frontage road of I-25.
