ACTIVE ADULTS NATURE CLUB – A THOUSAND TAKEOUTS
Thursday, January 8, 6 8 PM
Take a journey via slideshow presentation with Vince Cloward, Trails and Open Space Program Director, as he traverses the Colorado River by raft through the Grand Canyon on three adventurous trips. Donations are accepted. Reservations required.
 
SUSTAINABILITY SERIES: VERMICOMPOSTING WORKSHOP
Saturday, January 17, 10:30 – 11:30 AM
During this workshop you’ll learn the ins and outs of worm composting, construct a worm bin to take home that fits under your kitchen sink, and receive your worms to get started. Get everything you need in this convenient workshop! To ensure supplies, register by February 9. $25 per person with supplies, $5 per person without supplies, preregistration and prepayment required, no refunds on cancelations.
 
BEAR CREEK NATURE EXPLORERS: SLEEPY TREES

Children, ages 4 – 5 with an adult, will enjoy hands-on activities, puppet shows or stories, crafts, and a hike. ($4/person including adults and siblings, reservations required, 520-6387)
 
INTERPRETIVE VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

Volunteers play a key role in providing visitor services at Bear Creek and Fountain Creek Nature Centers. Come to this orientation to learn more about volunteer opportunities and see if the nature centers are the right fit for you.
