Tom Schuck comes to the Southern Colorado Clean Cities Coalition with many years ofbroad experiences in non-profit management, directing traditional operations as well as volunteers, supervision of staff, creation and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development. His background also includes knowledge of, and experience with, diverse populations which foster a learning environment embracing diverse abilities and approaches. Tom graduated from University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and also holds a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision. Tom is a “true” native to Colorado, and enjoys the outdoors and playing in the mountains. Tom’s interests include skiing, tennis, running and especially science. Tom is actively involved in many Colorado civic causes, and sits on several local and state boards.

I have been working hard on getting stakeholder meetings set up, as well as working on setting up the “National Drive Electric Week” for the September 19th event in Colorado Springs. I have also been contacting Colorado Springs city officials to speak with them about relevant options for their fleets. I will be heading to Pueblo to meet with city officials later this month.

Following are some of the projects I am presently working on:

Florissant Fossil Project with the National Park Service… Meeting on August 20th

Colorado Springs Utilities…. Meeting on August 19th

Alternative Fuel event with 4CORE in Durango, which will be held on September 16th

Refuel Colorado Project – with CLEER (Mike Ogburn)

Meetings set up in September with UCCS and PPCC to discuss possible collaborations
