SBA National Ombudsman to Host
Small Business Regulatory Fairness Hearing in Colorado Springs

Small business owners, representatives of local economic development organizations, trade groups and community leaders are invited to join the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Ombudsman Brian Castro to discuss federal regulatory issues impacting small businesses in Colorado Springs on Thursday, August 14, 2014.

This event will give the local business community a chance to voice concerns about unfair regulatory enforcement, excessive fines, retaliation, burdensome regulations and other regulatory issues involving federal agencies.  In addition, small businesses will have an opportunity to learn more about the range of resources available from the SBA and the Office of the National Ombudsman.

Comments and concerns raised at the regulatory fairness hearing will be directed to the appropriate federal agency for a fairness review in an effort to reduce undue regulatory burdens, while helping small businesses succeed.

Those wishing to testify must register and provide written statements in advance to Ms. Dailey. Testimony may also be submitted confidentially in writing, in lieu of attending the hearing in person. Those wishing to put their testimony on the record on a confidential basis may also do so by writing in advance.
