Stage 6 of the USA Pro Challenge is a 10 mile, individual time trial up Vail Pass, requiring a westbound lane closure of Interstate 70 on Vail Pass today.
Lane and road closures and required traffic stops will be taking place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Ø STATE: Right lane of westbound I-70 closed from upper runaway truck ramp on west side of Vail Pass into Vail. Off-ramps from eastbound and westbound I-70 to East Vail (Exit 180). I-70 South Frontage Road (old U.S. 6).
PLEASE NOTE: Oversized and overweight vehicles traveling westbound I-70 will be held at the scenic overlook (mile 196), just prior to the Copper Mountain/Leadville Interchange – Exit 195, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ALSO, bicyclists will be prohibited from RIDING the portion of the Vail Pass Bike Path (old U.S. 6) in use for the time trial.

Delay and closure times are estimates only and subject to change depending on the pace of the race, weather, and other unanticipated conditions.
