The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office has issued a determination of sufficiency for the petitions submitted to initiate a recall election against two Board members of the Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District.
The Clerk and Recorder’s Office has verified 404 and 401 valid signatures for the recall of Janice Pizzi and Bryan Mendiola respectively. Only 300 against each were required.
Next, a 15-day protest period begins where signatures and other aspects of the petition may be protested by electors of the Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District. Once the protest period has passed and the petitions continue to be held to be sufficient, Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams will set the date for the recall election.
