ICONIC BRAND TO GIVE 10,000 UNION FANS M&M’S PEANUT-SHAPED SOCCER BALL ON JUNE 7th
Imagine a soccer ball that’s bright yellow, oblong in shape, and totally nutty. That’s M&M’S® Brand M-Ball™ – and 10,000 lucky Philadelphia Union fans at PPL Park on June 7 will have a chance to get their hands – or feet, in this case – on this brightly colored ball.
This season, M&M’S® partnered with the Philadelphia Union to celebrate the arrival of the M-Ball, which is shaped like M&M’S® Peanut Chocolate Candies. As part of the partnership, the team and iconic brand created a series of fun, online videos featuring fan-favorite Union players that can be viewed on the brand’s Facebook page.
The partnership with the Philadelphia Union is just one part of the brand’s “Year of Peanut” integrated marketing campaign which is designed to showcase the irresistibility of M&M’S Peanut. The brand kicked off the year with a star-studded event on New Year’s Eve in Atlanta which was followed by the first-ever appearance of the M&M’S Peanut spokescandy, Yellow, in a Super Bowl commercial.
