“Duetos Vol. 1” a tribute to the magical music of José José

Today is the launch of “Duetos Vol. 1,” a series

of three very special albums by José José, edited

by Sony Music Latin

 

The album brings back to life the long, prolific career

of the undisputed star of romantic Latin songs, now

with the collaboration of world-renowned artists

 

“Duetos Vol. 1” precedes two other albums:

“Un Tributo 1” and “Un Tributo 2”

 
The musical magic of Mexican icon José José, comes back to life starting today, March 18, with the debut of the collector’s album, “Duetos,” from a series of three very special albums by José José edited by Sony Music Latin.
 
The album rekindles the magic of all the hits of the undoubtedly Prince of Mexican Romantic Music. But this new release also comes with incomparable performances by  stars such as Mijares (“Desesperado”), Daniela Romo (“Almohada”),Natalia Lafourcade (“Una Mañana”), Gilberto Santa Rosa (“No Me Platiques Más”), Leonel García (“Me Basta”), Pandora (“Lo que no fue no será”), Gianmarco (“¿Y Qué?”), Edith Márquez (“El Amor Acaba”), Marco Antonio Muñiz (“Cruz de Olvido”), Carlos Rivera (“Voy a Llenarte Toda”),  Francisco Céspedes (“Sabor a Mí”), María José (“40 y 20”) and Carlos Cuevas (“Contigo en la Distancia”).
 
“Duetos Vol. 1” precedes the publication of “Un Tributo 1” and “Un Tributo 2,” which will debut on March 25.
 
Other musical luminaries will bring “Un Tributo 1” to life, as a heart-felt tribute to “The Prince of Song,” with a selection of 15 of his greatest hits.  The songs will be performed by stars of such magnitude as Maldita Vecindad and Los Hijos del 5to Patio, Julieta Venegas, Molotov, La Lupita, Beto Cuevas, Poncho Kingz, Moenia, Control Machete, Aleks Syntek, Azul Violeta, Café Tacuba, Leonardo de Lozanne, Pastilla, Jumbo and El Gran Silencio.
 
The second tribute, “Un Tributo 2,” features Los Daniels, Carla Morrison, Panteón Rococó, DLD, La Santa Cecilia, Torreblanca, Los Claxons, Natalia Lafourcade, Pate de Fua, Los Bunkers, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido, Moderatto, Ventilader, Dapuntobeat, Jot Dog, Leon Polar, Románticos de Zacatecas and  Odisseo.
 
In an illustrious career spanning more than 50 years, José José has sold more than 85 million records. He is considered the most important singer of Latin ballads and has been recognized with such honors as a Star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, GRAMMY®, Lo Nuestro and Billboard awards, as well as numerous other recognitions worldwide.
