MARCH NATURE PROGRAMS

 

Beekeeping School at Bear Creek

Saturday, March 1, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. & Sunday, March 2, 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. OR

Saturday, March 8, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. & Sunday, March 9, 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This easy to follow course will open new doors into the natural world. Experienced bee keepers share the process

of acquiring bees to managing them through the year. ($50/person, includes book First Lessons in Beekeeping, call

Senior Nature Club

Saturday, March 22, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Meets at Paint Mines Interpretive Park – 29950 Paint Mines Road, Calhan, CO 80808

Meet at the Paint Mines to bird and learn about the local history of the area. This senior’s social club assembles monthly; locations and activities vary each month. ($3/member, $4/nonmember, call for details, reservations required, 520.6387)

 

Bear Creek Nature Explorers

Children, ages 4 – 5 with an adult, will enjoy hands-on activities, puppet shows

or stories, crafts, and a hike. ($4.00/person including adults and siblings, RR)

Now You See Me, Now You Don’t!

Thursday, March 20, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

 

Little Wonders

Discover the world of nature with your 2 or 3 year-old. Interactive activities and

a short hike make this the perfect introduction to the outdoors for your child.
