Extra Dates added to ElectriCritters Holiday Light Extravaganza!

Due to popular demand, the Pueblo Zoo is adding two extra days to its 2013 season!   We will now be open Monday, December 30 and Tuesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve. It’s a great opportunity for families to get an early start on New Years’ Festivities.  Marvel at the lights, warm the belly with hot chocolate and participate in animal presentations.  In addition, all holiday merchandise will be on clearance sale in the gift shop!

Description of the Event:  A winner in the “Best Christmas Tradition” category in Pueblo Chieftain’s Best of Pueblo,  ElectriCritters holiday light show has become a Pueblo tradition.  2013 marks the twenty-first season of Electricritters.  For 18 nights, the Zoo glows with more than 250,000 dancing making for a perfect holiday outing for visiting family and friends.  This year, we will be featuring not 2 but 3 new Electricritters!  The CSU-P Timberwolf will make its debut; our train will finally get its caboose; and the otters are sure to entertain!  Come see if you can spot the new creations amongst the existing menagerie of more than 150 glowing creations. Warm up in the EcoCenter, with a cup of Hot Chocolate at the Candy Cane Café, while watching the Penguins swim and play.  All proceeds raised from the event go towards the care and feeding of the Zoo’s over 450 animals.

 

Prices for Advance Discount Tickets (Purchased during the day before 4pm): Non-Member Adult $5, Non-Member Child $3, Member Adult $3, Member Child $2, and children under 3years old are free.

 

Prices for Tickets (Purchased that evening after 4pm): Non-Member Adult $6, Non-Member Child $4, Member Adult $4, Member Child $3, and children under 3 years old are free.
