Looking at your neighbors’ holiday lights is always fun, but neighborhoods around Colorado Springs are missing a few things…like lions, elephants and giraffes! At Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Electric Safari, over a million holiday lights AND wild animals can be seen each night! Select animal exhibits will be open during the event, including the giraffe barn, Encounter Africa, Aquatics, Rocky Mountain Wild (except grizzlies), Asian Highlands, Monkey Pavilion, Scutes Family Gallery and The Loft. Special animal keeper talks are also offered during all event nights.
Plus, Electric Safari hosts Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be taking holiday wishes nightly through December 23.
Guests can take a break between seeing animals and enjoying the lights to warm up by one of the fire pits located throughout the Zoo, or they can stop into the Grizzly Grill for a sweet treat and a warm cup of joe or hot cocoa (available for purchase).
Be a Secret Santa to the Animals
Bring a gift on the animals’ wish list and receive $2 off an adult admission or $1 off a child admission. Each item donated is valid for one admission discount. Only new, unopened packages/containers will be accepted. Not valid with other discounts.
