Olde Town Arvada will again fill the streets with music and entertainment on July 13th at the upcoming 2nd Saturday Street Festival, presented by Historic Olde Town Arvada. The first of this free summer series took place on June 8th, bringing out a tremendous crowd to hear the sweet sounds of SHEL and the timeless rock of Chris Daniels and the Kings. The July 13th event will provide similar top-notch entertainment, with opening act Olde Town Swing Band leading the way for an extended set from headliner The Wendy Woo Band. Music will echo down Grandview Avenue from 4:30pm-10:00pm. Of course, the best way to enjoy live music in a charming historic shopping district is with a plate of tasty street food and an ice cold beer! Visitors will find plenty of food choices, beer and wine, and shopping options from vendor booths lining the street. Olde Town Arvada events always imply family fun, and the 2nd Saturday Street Festivals are no exception. A wide array of kids’ activities will create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for guests of all ages.
“Our June event was incredibly well received- we heard nothing but positive feedback from festival patrons,” states event coordinator Adam Mueller. “We’re keeping all of the great elements from June while also expanding vendor and food options for our guests.”
Historic Olde Town Arvada will be closing down Grandview Avenue, just east of Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, for this festival. The event area will be gated off to ensure a fun, safe, and relaxed experience, and also to allow beer and wine to be sold on the street. Entry is free of cost and all are invited to come. Tickets to purchase drinks will be sold at locations within the event area. Parking is free, with the best spots available in the long-term parking lots near the Jefferson County Library and the historic Flour Mill.
