A failure in the Colorado State Motor Vehicle system is affecting the motor vehicle services offered today through the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. The North Branch office, located at 8830 North Union Blvd in Colorado Springs, is the only office in the state open on Saturday and is open through 1:00 PM. Due to the system failure, the office is not able to serve customers seeking any form of title work, new vehicle registration, or registration renewals for the rest of the day. The office will still be able to serve customers needing services related to a Driver’s License, Recording, and Elections.
“El Paso County is the only county in the state to have an office open on Saturdays, and we understand that many hard working people throughout the state rely on that convenience. We apologize for the limited services we can offer today and hope that the state is able to quickly address the issue,” stated El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams.
At this time, it is expected that full services will be available at all four of the Clerk and Recorder offices on Monday, June 24.
