Saturday, September 21

Live Nation presents LUKE BRYAN at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on Saturday, September 21.  Special Guests Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line will open the show.      Showtime is 7:00 PM.  Doors open at 5:30 PM.

Luke Bryan’s path to stardom has taken a steady climb since his debut and the growth in his album projects is the proof for this unique Georgian who burst on the scene in 2007 with his unique blend of down-home accessibility, movie star good looks and relatable lyrics.  His latest project “Spring Break…Here To Party” became Luke’s first #1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart selling 150,000 copies in its first week. It’s the fifth installment of his spring break series as well as his fifth Panama City Beach, Florida concert series. In 2013, 120,000 fans showed up to attend the two-day event.  A few short days later, he played the Houston Rodeo for the second time, this year as headliner before 75,000 fans. This was the second largest crowd in the rodeo’s history.

And all this recent success was a walk-up to Luke taking home the coveted Entertainer of The Year award at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7, as well as a trophy for Vocal Event with Jason Aldean and Eric Church for “Only Way I Know.”  Luke also co-hosted the ACM Awards for the first time with Blake Shelton and the CBS television ratings for the show were the best in 15 years.  During the broadcast, Luke performed the first single, “Crash My Party,” off a forth coming summer album.

His last studio album tailgates & tanlines, released in 2011, debuted at #1 on the country chart and #2 on the pop charts and is now certified Platinum for sales over one million. It contains 3 back to back Platinum singles – “Country Girl (Shake It For Me), now at 2 million in digital sales, “I Don’t Want This Night To End” and “Drunk On You.”  He has placed a total of six career singles at #1 and was named the #1 Artist of 2012 and #1 Male Artist of 2012 by Country Aircheck.  Billboard named tailgates & tanlines the #2 Country Album and the #3 Country Artist Album of 2012 and claimed Luke as the #3 Top Country Artist of the Year.  Also in 2012, Luke took home 11 music awards, including a record nine wins at the American Country Awards as well as his first American Music Award.

The son of a peanut farmer, Luke knows patience and determination are key elements when it comes to a successful crop—or career—and he’s dedicated to growth.  His first album, I’ll Stay Me, produced the Top 10 hits “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man,” while his sophomore effort, Doin’ My Thing, contains three straight No. 1 singles: “Do I,” “Someone Else Calling You Baby” and “Rain Is A Good Thing.”

Luke’s 2013 headline tour, “Dirt Road Diaries,” sold out all dates on the spring leg with a summer leg that began in May.  This tour was preceded by Luke headlining the “CMT ON TOUR: Luke Bryan Tailgates & Tanlines,” which had an impressive list of alumni, including Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. “It’s almost like you’re getting a stamp of approval to go to the next level,” says Luke. “All those artists that were a part of the CMT Tour have crossed over into a larger level of artists.”  It wrapped as one of the most successful CMT tours in its ten-year history.  Luke has also toured with superstars Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean.

“I want my music to jump off the stage and out of the speakers,” says Luke. “When we do ‘Rain Is A Good Thing’ paired back to back with ‘Country Girl,’ it just feels like the roof is fixin’ to come off the place.”

In the world of entertainment, music arguably demands the most personal investment from its artists, and it doesn’t get any more intimate than Thompson Square. While most celebrities go to tremendous lengths and expense to carve out personal space in a Twitter-manic, paparazzi-fueled culture, husband and wife Keifer and Shawna Thompson veil no aspects of their relationship. In fact, they put their 13-year marriage on display in each song and, night after night, on tour. Hence, their sophomore album Just Feels Good is a compelling view of a relationship that offers no distinction between the personal and the professional.

The assertion that Just Feels Good is actually a more intimate introduction into the psyche of Thompson Square than their self-titled debut is a big statement considering that album’s history-making in-roads. Powered by a trio of hit singles including the No. 1 double-platinum-selling “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” as well as “I Got You” and “Glass,” Thompson Square swept the 2012 Vocal Duo awards (CMA, ACM, CMT, ACA). “Kiss” was the most-heard song at country radio in 2011 (Mediabase), and secured multiple-week runs atop the sales and ringtone charts as well as two GRAMMY nominations. Major media (Leno, Kimmel, Conan and more) and major tours (Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan) put them in front of tens of millions of viewers and two million concert goers. Thompson Square is also the only established married duo to ever receive CMA Vocal Duo of the Year honors. Keifer and Shawna Thompson’s hot streak continued when they won the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year honors for the 2nd consecutive year in April 2013.

It’s been more than two decades since a new country act has captured the public’s imagination the way Florida Georgia Line has.  The duo’s multi-week #1 single, “Cruise,” hit the Top 10 just 14 weeks after its release, faster than any debut since Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man.” It’s the kind of affirmation few young artists ever experience, and yet was just the cap on a year that saw Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard thrill audiences on tour dates with Alabama, Brantley Gilbert and Jake Owen; cut an EP and their first album HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES with producer Joey Moi (Nickelback, Jake Owen) and sign a label deal with Republic Nashville — after selling nearly 200,000 digital downloads independently. To date, “Cruise,” alone has sold well over one million; reached #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart and helped secure them a spot on Luke Bryan’s “DIRT ROAD DIARIES TOUR” in 2013.  At the 2013 ACM awards, they won New Vocal Duo of the Year as well as New Artist of the Year.
