The Pueblo Zoo was pleased to host the “Wild Design” Exhibit Design camp this week. On Friday, June 21 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, we will hold an “Grand Re-Opening/Open House” so the campers can proudly present the exhibits they chose, researched and redesigned.
It is magical to watch the campers’ imaginations go wild on these exhibits! Many zoos across the nation offer camps similar to ours however, Pueblo Zoo takes it up a notch. Most zoos have their young designers set up their interpretations of exhibits in a diorama-type format. Our participants set up actual exhibits for some of our animals in the World ofColor building.
You are invited to witness the magic of ignited, budding young minds as well as check out the new exhibits.
The Pueblo Zoo is a not-for-profit organization and is an accredited member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA). Look for the AZA logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things.
From May 4 to Labor Day, the Zoo is open every day from 9am to 5pm. For more information, call 561-1452 or visit www.pueblozoo.org
