Cooler Temperatures are a Welcome Relief

Yesterday’s cooler temperatures and scattered rain showers brought welcomed relief to the Pike and San Isabel National Forests. Crews made good progress on all the fires. East Peak fire is now 95 percent contained. In addition all evacuation orders have been lifted. Phantom fire is now 100 contained and Long Scraggy is 100 contained and controlled.
Initial attack crews remain on standby to respond to any lightning hold overs. Resources include several crews, engines, and air support.
