Playing basketball in the off season is what separates the average player from the excellent one. With that in mind, Otero Junior College is offering boys and girls ages 5-16 the opportunity to participate in their summer basketball camp. The camp will run May 28 – 30 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day.
Camp activities will stress fundamentals, individual player development and team play, but will also focus on sportsmanship, partnership and work ethic principles. Highlights of the camp include a 3-on-3 tournament, contests, exciting lectures and individual skill instruction.
Registration forms can be downloaded at http://www.ojc.edu/AthleticCamps.aspx. Cost for the camp is $75. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt and basketball, camp certificate, written fundamental evaluation, opportunity for numerous awards and a lot of personal attention.
Enrollment is limited, so early registration is recommended. Walk-up enrollment on the first day of camp will be permitted if all slots have not been filled.
Participants will need to wear gym shoes, a T-shirt and shorts to the gym each session. Valuable items should not be brought to the camp.
