March Events and Camps Coming up at the Pueblo Zoo
Volunteer Open House
Date: Saturday March 9
Description: Learn about how you can make a difference at the Pueblo Zoo! Volunteers are needed in: the education department, gift shop, ranch, gardens, and for special events. Join us to learn more about the volunteer opportunities available. Must be high school age (or older) to be able to volunteer. Open house will be in the Zoo’s classroom in the education building. If you are unable to come you can get additional information from Sharon at 719-561-1452 ext 125.
Sleepover With the Penguins (aka – March the Penguins Overnight)
Date: March 16 through 17
Time: Saturday 5pm to Sunday 10am
Cost per person: $35 for Zoo members and $40 for non-members
Description: Join us at the Pueblo Zoo for some family fun camping out with the penguins. Spend the night at the EcoCenter and participate in a variety of family activities including a special after-hours tour, games, and crafts. Visit with a zookeeper and meet one of our African Black-Footed penguins up-close. In addition, overnight guests will enjoy a pizza dinner, continental breakfast, and all-day Zoo admission. This is a great way to spend some quality family time together. Children must be at least 6 years old and be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Space is limited, so sign up now! Spring is hatching…Spring Break Camp
Date: March 25- 29
Cost: $125 for Zoo members and $135 for non-members
Description: Come to Pueblo Zoo’s Spring Break Camp to have fun learning about animals. This 5-day camp, for children 6-8 years old, includes nature activities, crafts, and up-close experiences with some of our Zoo animals. Call Sharon at 719-561-1452 ext 125 for information or toregister.
Date: Wednesday March 27
Description: On the Wednesday of Spring Break the Zoo will be offering half priceadmission to all visitors! Come to the Pueblo Zoo, visit the animals, and enjoy a nice day with the family.
Easter Egg Hunt
Date: Saturday March 30
Cost: $5per child (for children ages 12 and under). Zoo admission not included. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event.
Description: Join us for a special Easter Egg Hunt at the Pueblo Zoo. Egg hunt ticket includes a minimum of 6 prize filled eggs, a bag of candy, crafts, and other fun activities.
