PPWFC Spring Job Fair

Although the national unemployment rate dipped to 7.9 percent in January, the rate for the Colorado Springs area is 8.8 percent. This means that over 26,000 people in the Pikes Peak region are out of work. This number does not include those discouraged workers who have stopped seeking employment.

 

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center (PPWFC) and KKTV 11 News today announce the Spring Job Fair to connect businesses with work-ready job seekers.

 

WHERE:  The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 1775 East Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80906

 

WHEN:  Thursday, April 18, 2013, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans are allowed early entry at 10 a.m.

NOTE:  The Pikes Peak Workforce Center main office will be closed on April 18.

 

HOW:  Job seekers should pre-register at www.ppwfc.org, research companies before the job fair, apply online before the job fair, and dress appropriately.
