TRIUMPHANT IN MEXICO’S REGGAETON LIVE 2013
J BALVIN shined at his performance during the Reggaeton Live 2013 festival which took place on Saturday, February 16 at the majestic Plaza De Los Toros in Mexico DF. He was the only Colombian artist from the urban genre to perform at this major event.
J BALVIN mesmorized the more than 20,000 fans in attendance at Mexico’s Plaza De Toros (the venue was cut down to 50% of its capacity due to the set-up of the stage). His performance of his songs such as “Ella Me Cautivo”, “Sin Compromiso”, “Yo Te Lo Dije” and “Tranquila”, among others, were received by a crowd who sang along to each of the verses word by word. The young Colombian artist was also received by tremendous roars from the crowd when he freestyled using iconic figures of Mexican culture including Cantinflas, El Chavo Del Ocho and La Virgen de Guadalupe, whose image he proudly wore on the t-shirt he used on stage.
Reggaeton Live 2013 is the first urban music festival to originate in Mexico and was televised in the country as well as transmitted via internet throughout the world. The festival also included performances by reggaeton artists such as Jowell & Randy, Nengo Flow, Guelo Star, De La Guetto and Alexis and Fido as well as Mexican artists. It was covered by the countries most important press, TV, web and media outlets as well.
The event’s purpose is to bring together the most important urban artists so that they can showcase their skills not only in Mexico but throughout the world.
