Colorado Entrepreneur Puts Free Interactive App, USA-Made Products & Jobs, in the Palm of Your Hand
Go4 Made in America is proud to announce the release of their Go4 USA App for iPhone and iPod touch, now available on the App Store. Consumers eager to help create American jobs by searching for and buying U.S. made products now have what they need in the palm of their hand. The app pinpoints where to purchase American-made goods and allows consumers to upload product information by scanning the Universal Price Code (UPC).
“We wanted to do something that would help stimulate the American economy, so we created an app that we believe will help achieve that goal one American-made product at a time,” said Gregg Harris, who lives in the Denver area and is co-founder of Go4 Made in America.
In addition to being able to search for American-made products, anyone can add to the list by scanning the UPC (or EAN) of an American-made product and uploading it, thus identifying the product by name, where it’s sold, and who manufactured it.
“We’re building a scalable database of this information and we’re relying on the American consumer to partner with us,” said Harris. “We’ve compiled over a million products and thousands of retailers and manufacturers already, but we need hands-on member help in identifying 1) which of these products are made in America and 2) where they can be purchased.”
There’s something for everyone with Go4 USA. Consumers benefit by being able to pinpoint where to buy American-made goods. Retailers benefit by listing the American-made products they carry. Manufacturers benefit by having a simple method to promote their American-made products and, more importantly, giving the consumer a way to find them.
Basic listings for retailers and manufacturers are free; however, a retailer or manufacturer may enhance its profile through one of the available sponsorship tiers.
The Go4 USA App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone or iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com.
