BMA Colorado Dinner

Executives from Emerson, Motorola, JP Morgan Chase, DCPA to Speak at BMA Colorado Dinner

Four Leading B2B Experts to Discuss Evolving Role of Marketers at March 11 Keynote Event

Business Marketing Association Colorado (BMA Colorado) today announced that it will host four senior-level marketing executives as featured speakers during its March Keynote event at 5:30pm on March 11, 2013 at the Embassy Suites Denver – Downtown/Convention Center. Speakers include Kathy Button Bell, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Emerson; Eduardo Conrado, Senior Vice President of Marketing and IT for Motorola Solutions; Jennifer Nealson, Chief Marketing Officer of Denver Center for the Performing Arts; and Eileen Zicchino, Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer of JPMorgan Chase Treasury Services.

“These speakers represent companies with combined revenue of more than $250 billion,” said Matt Dirks, President Elect and Vice President of BMA Colorado. “Not only are they well respected as national marketing leaders due to their roles within the Business Marketing Association, they have also each achieved tremendous success as executive leaders within their corporations.  It is truly an honor for BMA Colorado to host such acclaimed B2B marketing experts for our March Keynote event.”

During the Keynote Dinner, which is being sponsored by Ricoh, Button-Bell, Conrado, Nealson, and Zicchino will each present 10-minute messages on a themed topic: “To Inspire: The Evolving Role of a Marketer.” The presentations will be followed by an open-forum Q&A session.

“For decades, marketers have functioned in task-oriented roles. Yet today, our profession requires us to inspire teams, departments, organizations, and even markets,” said Nealson. “In order to inspire, we’re required to take on a more strategic perspective that reflects the growing impact marketing has on our organizations as a whole – from recruiting and culture to customer experience and revenues.”

Attendees will learn about the evolution of the marketing profession and why it’s imperative for marketers to think differently, create better alignment internally, and build relationships regardless of discipline or geographic location. The speakers will address:

·   The changing dynamics of the marketing profession

·   The leadership role marketers must play in setting vision and direction in the boardroom, the marketplace, and within the profession

·     Why marketing must lead the effort to create messaging consistency, both internally and externally

·     How to build relationships and create a customer-centric culture that creates personal, meaningful experiences for employees and customers

The March Keynote Dinner coincides with the BMA National Annual Board Meeting, which is being held in Denver, CO, on March 12, 2013. Leading business marketing professionals from BMA chapters throughout the country are expected to attend the Keynote Dinner on March 11, 2013 and participate in the open-forum Q&A session.
