NUMBER ONE ON THE BILLBOARD LATIN AIRPLAY CHART AND LATIN RHYTHM CHART WITH HIS HIT “ZUMBA”
Don Omar is once again the king of the radio charts, now with his latest hit “Zumba“. The song a hypnotic track that has put the entire world on its feet is part of the album “MTO2: New Generation” and is the fifth consecutive single released by the Puerto Rican superstar to reach the #1 position at radio in the US and Puerto Rico following the international hits “Danza Kuduro’, “Taboo”, “Dutty Love” and “Hasta Que Salga El Sol”.
Don Omar celebrates the success of this song along with his 18 nominations for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards, the most nominations ever received by one artist in the history of the awards. His nominations include “Artist of the Year”, “Artist of the Year, Social Networks”, “Artist of the Year, Streaming”, “Male Artist of the Year, Songs”, “Male Artist of the Year, Album”, “Solo Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Songs”, “Solo Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Album” and “Composer of the Year”. “Dutty Love”, his hit collaboration with his protege artist Natti Natasha is nominated in the categories for “Song of the Year”, “Song of the Year, Vocal Collaboration”, “Song of the Year, Airplay”, “Song of the Year, Digital” and in the category for ‘Latin Rhythm Song of the Year” alongside his other hit single “Hasta Que Salga El Sol”. His international mega-hit “Danza Kuduro” is nominated for “Song of the Year, Digital” and “Song of the Year, Streaming” and his album “MTO2: New Generation” has nominations in the categories for “Digital Album of the Year” and “Latin Rhythm Album of the Year”.
Next up Don Omar will perform his “DragMania 2013” festival an event which will take place at the Palm Beach International Raceway on Juniper, FL. The festival which was created by Don Omar to showcase his love for music and racing will last 3 days, from March 1-3. Later, Don Omar prepares his highly anticipated return to the Puero Rico Coliseum with his “Made In Puerto Rico” concert scheduled for May 4th.
