The “slide and roll” bridges have been installed on State Highway 266, about two miles northeast of Rocky Ford. Both structures and the highway were expected to reopen to traffic this afternoon. However, additional work remains to complete the roadway where the bridges are located, including final paving and enhancements to ensure maximum safety is maintained for the traveling public. The Colorado Department of Transportation plans to reopen Highway 266 to through traffic sometime on Tuesday, February 19.
