Michael Cieply, a media correspondent who covers Hollywood for The New York Times, will talk about his work in a lecture titled “The Arts and The Times” at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16 in Gaylord Hall on the main floor of the Worner Campus Center, 902 N. Cascade Ave.
Cieply joined The Times as movie editor in 2004. Previously, he worked for The Los Angeles Times, Forbes Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Before becoming a journalist, he was a film and television producer and production executive with various companies, including ABC, Columbia, Disney, Fox, Universal, and United Airlines.
The lecture will be preceded by a reception beginning at 4 p.m. in the Main Space in the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, 825 N. Cascade Ave. Both events are free and open to the public.
