Trailblazing Raaki Garcia Show Hits Colorado Airwaves Hispanic Woman Pioneers Weekly Free Market Talk Radio Program
DENVER, Colo — A free market conservative female voice is blazing a trail on Colorado’s Spanish-language airwaves today.
The one-hour Raaki Garcia Show debuts on Tuesday, October 9 at 11:00 AM, on Denver’s AM 1150 KNRV. The radio talk show format will feature energetic, informative discussions on a wide range of timely and relevant topics for Hispanics who live and work along the Front Range.
“I am so honored and excited by this opportunity,” Garcia said. “I look forward to sharing ideas and perspectives with so many of my people who don’t often get to hear them.”
Of Hispanic descent, Raaki was raised in Mexico. She also holds dual citizenship in the United States. A resident of Colorado, she earned degrees from the University of Arizona (criminal justice) and Metropolitan State University (political science).
Raaki has worked with the Independence Institute since 2007, promoting the Spanish- and English-language School Choice for Kids website and helping primarily Hispanic families to navigate the state’s K-12 open enrollment system. She has been a frequent guest on local Spanish-language radio.
“The timeless truths of freedom transcend race and language. I expect Raaki’s show to be a big hit,” said Independence Institute president Jon Caldara.
The show is slated to air weekly in AM 1150’s regular Tuesday slot at 11:00 AM.
The Independence Institute is a non-partisan, non-profit public policy research organization based in Denver, Colo.
