Pueblo’s Resource Share Looks to Connect Educators to Service Providers
Pueblo, CO, October 1, 2012 – Pueblo is rich with agencies providing support services for families and students. On October 17, 2012 over 40 local agencies will come together to increase the awareness and promote access of the many services for Pueblo’s educational settings.
The partners of Pueblo’s Safe Schools Healthy Students Resource Share have designed the event to provide face-to-face connections between educational staff from PCS, D70 and the private sector with the wide variety of services targeted to directly impact students and build a stronger Pueblo. The Resource Share will provide opportunities for participants to meet the faces behind the services. Agencies representing Academic or Family Support Services, Extracurricular Activities, Physical Health and Safety, Behavioral Health, and Juvenile Justice will be on site. Participants may choose to visit booths addressing student and family needs such as insurance access, decreasing the stigma of mental health, academic support, or after school engagement activities creating the perfect addition to any professional toolbox.
Graciously funded by Crossroads Turning Point, Inc. and Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teens (PAHT), the event is free for participants and service providers alike. Drawings will be held for prizes such as tickets to the Royal Gorge Bridge or Pueblo’s Zoo, and light refreshments will be provided. The event is slated for Wednesday, October 17, 2012 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Fine Arts Center Ballroom on Santa Fe Blvd. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for registration, instructions, and “passport” pick up. Event begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Drawings will be held during a “network” time between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
