MARÍA DEL PILAR (aka Pilar Díaz)
(East Side Luv Sept 5+26 Oct 3)
|NEW ALBUM DUE OUT FEBRUARY 5, 2013|
| It’s been a whole presidential cycle since the last time Pilar Díaz released her debut solo album. In those 4 years, Díaz has done zags when people expected zigs, following her muse as her art has evolved and her life has changed. Her new moniker- María Del Pilar is the stamp Díaz has chosen to index her evolution. Returning to her birth name that stands for strength+grace.
María Del Pilar is currently hard at work finishing up her new album, which is being produced by Vicente Sanfuentes (Gepe, Los Amigos Invisibles, Francisca Valenzuela). María Del Pilar’s odyssey with her new record began in Santiago de Chile in 2011 while on a personal sabbatical to reconnect with her family and musical roots. That album continues and will be finished in the City of Angels including co-writes with Gabrial McNair (No Doubt).
MARK YOUR CALENDER-María Del Pilar’s album is due out Feb, 5 2013.
