Rainbow Falls History Walk
Saturday, October 6, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Join local history buffs and see what the falls looked like in the 1860’s, why it was a prime Ute Pass tourist stop, how it has changed, and what is being done to restore this public resource. ($2.00/member, $3/nonmember, call 520-6387 for reservations and additional information.

Calling all Cub Scout WEBELOS!  Join a naturalist for a guided hike in Bear Creek Park and meet requirements to earn the Naturalist, Forester, and or Geologist activity pins.  Hotdog, chips & soda lunch served from Noon – 12:45 p.m. ($4.00 per scout, per activity, lunch $3/person, Reservations required, 520-6387)
Bear Creek Nature Explorers – Hooray for Hawks
Thursday, October 18, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Children, ages 4-5 with an adult, will enjoy hands-on nature activities, puppet shows, crafts, and a hike. ($4.00 per person including adults and siblings, Reservations required, 520-6387)
Geocaching: High-Tech Treasure Hunting
Saturday, October 20, 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Catch the excitement and discover the great sport of Geocaching.  It is enjoyed by families as a great way to get outdoors and explore your neighborhood and world.  Begin
with a half-hour introductory class to learn global positioning system (GPS) basics, and head outdoors on your own high tech treasure hunt to search for hidden geocaches.  Class materials, GPS units, and “treasures” provided.  ($6.00/member. $8.00/nonmember, Reservations required, 520-6387)
Bear Creek Little Wonders – All About Deer
Thursday, October 25, 9:00 – 10:15 a.m.
