Miami, FL, Thursday, August 23, 2012. (F & F Media Corp.) Top Stop Music continues adding top musical talents to their label. Today they are happy to announce that Puerto Rican salsa king Tito Nieves has joined their label.

Besides joining the artist roster of Top Stop Music, Nieves will also have his management and booking for the entire world handled by Top Stop Talent.

“There are performers that have a unique sound and Tito Nieves is one of them,” said Sergio George. “That is why I am so proud that he is joining Top Stop Music,” added the multi Grammy Award winning producer, who has been a close friend of the singer for over thirty years. In those three decades, Nieves released such hits as “Fabricando Fantasías,” “De Mi Enamórate,” “Señora Ley,” “El Amor Más Bonito,” “Sonámbulo” and the English-language salsa hit, “I Like It Like That.”

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York, Nieves has been one of the best-known and most respected figures in tropical music ever since 1977, when he joined Puerto Rican icon Héctor Lavoe and his Orchestra. He later embarked on a solo career singing salsa in English. He became one of the few performers to have been successful in both the Latin and English-speaking markets.

Nieves has been turning out hits for three consecutive decades and has in the process become an icon to younger performers that later joined what is known today as “The New York Sound.”

Since releasing his first solo album “The Classic” (1988), up to his latest production “Mi Última Grabación” (2011), Tito Nieves has been the musical role model for several generations of young salseros. He will undoubtedly continue turning out hits now that he has the backing of the prestigious record label Top Stop Music.
