Governors Jeb Bush (FL) , Susana Martinez (NM) , Brian Sandoval (NV), and Senator Marco Rubio (FL) will be featured speakers at the Hispanic Leadership Network’s (HLN) “Red, White, y Tú” events in Tampa during the Republican National Convention. The blockbuster events, to be held on Tuesday, August 28th, at the Tampa InterContinental Hotel, will provide unique insight and perspective on how the defining policy issues of the day affect the Hispanic community.
The day’s events kick-off with lunch and A Policy Conversation with Governors featuring Governors Bush, Martinez, and Sandoval. Lunch will be followed by a policy panel, Health of Your Financial Security, during which experts will address retirement security and the money saving patterns of the Hispanic community. The panel will be moderated by Teresa Martinez of Univision’s Aqui y Ahora and include American Action Forum President Doug Holtz-Eakin and AARP Senior Vice President John Hishta.
“Red, White, Y Tú” will be a unique opportunity to hear from and talk with some of
America’s brightest leaders on the defining issues facing the Hispanic community,” said HLN Executive Director Jennifer S. Korn. “We are honored to host such a distinguished group of leaders and we look forward to what will surely be a dynamic debate about the most pressing issues in our country today.”
At 5 pm, a dinner reception, Tapas, Tequila, and Tropical Tunes, will feature Florida’s very own Senator Marco Rubio, who will deliver the keynote remarks. In addition, HLN will also sponsor a Social Media Lounge and Chocolate and Cigar Bar at the Bayshore Ball Room. This event brings over ten Hispanic organizations together as a show of unity within the Hispanic community.
An initiative of the American Action Network, HLN is a sustained effort to engage the Hispanic community on center-right issues that will restore opportunity and prosperity in America. HLN is building a network of Hispanic community, business, religious and educational leaders at the national, state and local levels; providing a home for Hispanic advocates, and a clear voice that is heard at all levels of government from Sacramento to Washington, D.C. Both Governors Bush and Sandoval are members of HLN’s National Advisory Committee.
