DREAMers in Colorado

Starting yesterday, DREAMers across Colorado and the nation who have lived under threat of deportation will have an opportunity for much needed relief and certainty. Senator Bennet’s new webpage provides more information. You can visit at: http://www.bennet.senate.gov/dreamers

A major step forward, announced by the Administration earlier this year, it will allow young people who were brought to the United States through no fault of their own as children and who meet several key criteria to apply for relief from deportation. United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) under the directive of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), will immediately begin accepting requests for consideration of deferred action. This is a continuation of the directive around deferred action for childhood arrivals that President Obama announced in June.

Today, Senator Bennet launched a webpage to answer questions that have arisen around deferred action. Please click on the link below to be directed to Senator Bennet’s new DREAMer Page. There, you will have access to information for DREAMers and can sign up for updates from our office. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Please forward this email and share this information with those who support DREAMers and this effort.
