Acclaimed Latin music pianist, Arthur Hanlon, presents his new album “Encanto Del Caribe”, available today in CD+DVD and digital download. The new album was recorded live at the historic San Cristobal castle in San Juan, Puerto Rico. More than 50 musicians and artists participated alongside Arthur including Marc Anthony, Laura Pausini, Cheo Feliciano, Bernie Williams, Ana Isabelle y Natalia Jimenez.
More than 1,000 invites were on hand for the taping, surrounded by the spectacular walls of the San Cristobal castle, which for the very first time opened its doors for a musical taping inside the fort. Together, with his special invites, Arthur Hanlon celebrated the convergence of cultures and Latin music inspired by Puerto Rico. In addition to his own compositions, which he performed on a blue piano – flown in from Miami for this occasion – Arthur was joined by friends to perform various other songs. “El Raton” with guitarist Bernie Williams and singer and composer Cheo Feliciano, “En Mi Viejo San Juan” alongside Marc Anthony, “Bienvenido” with Italian artist Laura Pausini, “La Cumparsita” with Ana Isabelle and Natalia Jimenez on the firstsingle “Historia De Amor”, a classic Latin American song. “Encanto Del Caribe” is an SBS Production backed by the government of Puerto Rico. The album was produced by Julio Reyes and performed under the musical direction of Cucco Pena.
“Encanto Del Caribe” is the first Latin music special to be filmed especially for public broadcast television and last week began transmitting in various important markets across the country including New York, Miami, San Francisco, Philadelphia, El Paso, Denver and Tampa among others. Next Sunday, August 26, TV viewers in Los Angeles will be able to experience the concert’s magic on PBS SoCal (Ch. 50) at 7:00pm
