Upcoming Summer Events at the Pueblo Zoo

July 17, 2012 – Turtle Tuesday (10:00 am -1:00 pm)

Turtle Tuesday is a special day out of the year when the Zoo’s Turtles and Tortoises are brought out of their exhibits to meet visitors.  Join us for turtle crafts, docent talks, and up close encounters with the Zoo’s resident Turtles and Tortoises. Regular Zoo admission rates apply: $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $7 for youth (ages 13-17), $6 for children (ages 3-12).  Event is free for Pueblo Zoo Members. 

 

August 11, 2012 – Princesses, Pirates, and Primates – Saturday (10:00 am – 4:00 pm)

Come in your best princess or pirate attire and learn about animals at the Pueblo Zoo.  Pirates can learn the story behind the ship in the Islands of Life Building, and learn about animals pirates would have encountered on their voyages.  Princesses can learn about frogs and other forest creatures.  Join us for a day of activities including: crafts, keeper talks, and animal close encounters.  Dressing up in princess or pirate attire in encouraged but not required.  Regular Zoo admission rates apply: $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $7 for youth (ages 13-17), $6 for children (ages 3-12).  Event is free for Pueblo Zoo Members.
