“This is the culmination of 13 years of swimming, competing, practicing and giving it my entire life. It’s pretty crazy to think about it,” Koroleva said. “The last few weeks have been really physically hard, but within the last few days the excitement has been building. I keep seeing people posting pictures about the Olympic Village, and I’m just getting the butterflies in my stomach. I’m so excited and I think it’s going to be everything I’ve ever expected it to be and more.”
Said Killman: “I’m starting to get the butterflies and am really excited for everything. This is what I’ve been working for, for so long. I’m getting so much support, it’s amazing. I’m ready to start this.”
There will be 24 duets competing Aug. 5-7 at the 17,500-seat London Aquatics Centre. The qualification technical routine is Sunday, Aug. 5, and the qualification free routine is Monday, Aug. 6. The top 12 duets will advance to the free final on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Competition begins at 3 p.m. local time each day.

They will then travel to Dublin, Ireland, to train at the National Aquatic Centre there from July 28-31, with a special exhibition set for July 31 at 3 p.m. local time.
