Fountain Creek Nature Adventures: Sun, Wind and Rain

Thursday August 9, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows, nature stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. ($4.00 per person, Reservations required, call 520-6745)


Connecting with Beavers

Friday, August 10, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Come for an indoor presentation and learn about the beaver’s amazing lifestyle, followed by a hike to discover the world of nature’s infamous engineer. ($3.00/member, $4.00/nonmember, Reservations required, Call 520-6745)


Free Noxious Weed Presentation & Walk

Saturday, August 11, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Noxious weeds disrupt natural vegetation and habitats and threaten the water supply.  Join the El Paso County Forestry and Noxious Weed Inspector and learn how to identify and manage non-native weeds that negatively impact people, wildlife and the environment. Twos & Threes Outdoors: Things That Hop 

Thursday, August 16, 9:00 – 10:15 a.m.

Share in the joy of your 2 or 3 year-old child’s discovery as he or she enjoys a story and an exploration hike outdoors. ($3.00 for each participant including adults and siblings, Reservations required, call 520-6745)


All Things Moon

Friday, August 24, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

We’ll start indoors exploring all kinds of fun moon facts and fancies.  Afterwards we will head outside with binoculars and scopes to identify mountains and craters of a waxing moon. Best for ages 8 to adult. ($3.00/member, $4.00/nonmember, Reservations required, call 520-6387)
