Cinderella Auditions

 Come on stage and act it out! Over 50 parts available for K-12 students


The Missoula Children’s Theatre is coming to round up all local acting and singing talent in grades K-12 to audition for a performance of Cinderella. Auditions will be held Monday, July 23 from 10 am to 12 pm in the main theater at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center.


Over 50 parts are available for the Missoula Children’s Theatre original adaptation of Cinderella. A pumpkin coach, Prince Charming, a glass slipper and a dream come true are woven together by the magic of a Fairy Godmother in this enchanting musical.


After the parts are cast, children will rehearse every day from July 23-27  in order to stage the musical performance on Saturday, July 28 for the public. The public performance will be at 2 p.m. Cost to participate in this week-long, instructor-based theatrical event is $50 and $45 for Arts Center members; there is no cost to audition.

When Cinderella’s stepsisters try to keep Cinderella from attending the ball, the Fairy Godmother enlists the help of the Mice and the Pumpkins and is able to transform Cinderella just in time for the big event. Also featured in the production is Cleo the Cat, Fido the Dog, the Lords and Ladies, the Town Criers, the King and the Beggars. Experience the unique twist the Missoula Children’s Theatre puts on this classic story.


Tickets for the performance are $6 and available at the Arts Center box office; 295-7200. This production is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project.


About the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center
