Cassie Taylor and the Soul Cavalry, comprised of Cassie Taylor (Bass/Keys/Vocals), Eric Wiggs (Guitar) and Josh Moore (Drums) are based in Boulder, CO. The young power trio creates a fresh sound: NeoBlues, bridging the gap between Blues, Rock, Folk, Pop and Soul.  Formed in November of 2011 the trio has already played to rave reviews in the Rocky Mountain region, and will tour extensively in the US and Europe in 2012.

Cassie is the daughter of renowned bluesman Otis Taylor and toured in his band for seven years as bassist and backup vocalist. She takes her passion for the blues seriously by serving on the board of directors of The Blues Foundation. Staking a claim as a musician in her own right, her songwriting is a new kind of blues which explores the trials and tribulations of a twenty-something woman. Using pop vocals and deeply-rooted blues bass lines, Cassie is leading the new generation of blues artists.

In 2011 Taylor joined Dani Wilde and Samantha Fish on the Ruf Records Blues Caravan Tour. This trio of young, passionate performers, was backed by a top-flight band of road-tested professionals for more than two hours of live blues excellence.

Before starting their tour around the world, the three guitarists recorded a common album in November 2010. The album, which was produced by Mike Zito, (multiple Blues Music Award recipient in Memphis in 2010) was released to rave reviews and helped launch the solo careers of all three artists.

”As many of the attendees to our concerts are aware, we pride ourselves in presenting the most promising ‘up and coming’ artists in the same fashion as the established national acts we’ve presented.” explains Amy Whitesell of A Music company Inc., promoter of the show. “We all know when we’re watching one of these bands early in their career, it could be only a short matter of time before they are headlining festivals the world over and we all can say ‘we knew them when’ and I think that in itself draws people to the concerts.”

Tickets are $12 in advance, $17 the day of show and may be purchased on line at www.amusiccompanyinc.com or at the Yukon Rock & Roll Bar & Grill, 525 S. Circle Dr. Colorado Springs, CO.

This concert is being sponsored by Heuberger Motors, The Colorado Springs Independent, Peak Radar and Easy Street Designs.
